Strategic Flood Risk Management Workshop in Bangkok, Thailand

On Friday 8 November Dr Anthony Green spoke at a workshop on 'Science and Foresight for Strategic Flood Risk Management' in Bangkok, Thailand.

This workshop was arranged by the United Kingdom Foreign Office to encourage collaboration in science and innovation between UK and South East Asian research organisations and policy makers on strategic flood risk management.

Anthony, who has been working in the Mekong River Commission over recent years, represented the JBA Trust in discussing recent scientific and adaptation approaches for managing flood risk in the face of climate change in South East Asia. The workshop was run alongside a conference on 'Challenges in flood risk management in urban areas of river deltas in South and South East Asia', organised jointly by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre (ADPC) and Wilton Park.
